So whilst I was doing some mothers day shopping I may have bought a few things for myself.
Taking Tea A5 Notebook from Paperchase ~ £8.00
I wanted a really pretty notebook to keep blog post ideas in. As soon as I saw this I new it was the one. The rulings on the pages are quite wide which is perfect for my oversized handwriting. The cover is slightly padded and the pages have a silver leaf edging which makes it feel really expensive and fancy. I could spend hours in Paperchase, it's the place to go for stationary!
Vanishing Cream Face Moisturiser from Lush ~ £17.95
I went to OxMeet back in March where I had a skin consultation in Lush. The lovely Kim heard my cries for a moisturiser that actually worked and handed me a sample of this. The second I tried it I knew I needed the full size. I don't leave much time for myself to get ready in the mornings so this stuff is perfect. It's instantly absorbed but doesn't compromise on wonderful moisturising deliciousness. It smells lovely too, like yummy plants.
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer ~ £8.49
I have heard so many good things about this product so once I had run out of my Collection Illuminating Concealer I decided to give this one a go. It's quite good but it does crease. I find under eye concealers are either too much or not enough but this is almost just right. The only thing I need right now is some good old fashioned sleep!
Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation from Benefit ~ £26.50
If you've read my blog before you'll know I had a disappointing foundation purchase recently so I'm glad to report i'm extremely happy with my new one! I had a sample of this before so I already knew that I liked it but I didn't think I could justify the price tag. It's so good that i'm happy to pay it and I'll probably forever repurchase this. If you want to see this on, check out my date night makeup post.
It's lovely and moisturising and makes my skin look really healthy and glowing. It stays slightly tacky so if you're not a fan, this isn't for you.
Seventeen Skin Wow Primer ~ £5.99
I bought this after I ran out of high beam and saw a glowing review (see what I did there?) on gh0stparties. If you haven't realised already from this post, i'm coveting dewy, glowy, healthy skin right now and this definitely helps. Also, it claims to be 3 products in one; a primer, a highlighter and a 'glow' to mix in with your foundation - bonus.
Revlon Lash Potion ~ £9.99
This is my second tube and it's a beautiful mascara. Perfect for natural, long fluttery lashes. I'm usually a bit hesitant when it comes to lengthening mascaras particularly the ones that use 'lash fibres' as they always end up under my eyes by mid afternoon but this claims to contain vitamins and strengthening proteins instead to improve length and general condition. It doesn't clump and holds a good curl.
I'd love to know if you've tried any of these products and what you thought? x

Last month I was lucky enough to be invited to my very first blogger event. The gorgeous Adrienne from latenightnonsense arranged the day and it was a huge success! I finally got to meet some local bloggers and they're all absolute beauts. Everyone was really nice and we spent the day swapping tips, comparing our favourite blogs and met with the lovely ladies at Crabtree & Evelyn and Lush.
We started off at Wagamamas where I had the obvious choice of chicken katsu curry - as did many of us! One thing we all joked about was how we all took photos of our food and no one thought we were weird!
